Some train services into and out of Wellington have resumed after a train was damaged by an overhead fault.
A KiwiRail spokeswoman told NZ Newswire a train had been found with a damaged pantograph – the apparatus that connects the train to the overhead power cable.
Technicians are checking overhead cables to ensure no other trains will be damaged.
Services on the Kapiti and Johnsonville lines have resumed after earlier being suspended but buses were replacing trains between Petone and Wellington as well as the Melling line. Source Yahoo NZ
