Three people, including two suspected bank robbers, have been hurt after a police chase on Auckland’s southern motorway ended with the suspects’ vehicle crashing.
Police said they were alerted to a bank robbery at Westpac in Pukekohe about 12pm.
A vehicle with stolen plates was located but failed to stop.
After a pursuit, the vehicle crashed on the southern motorway near the Karaka interchange.
Three people, including the the two alleged offenders, were hurt.
No one else was being sought, police said.
The motorway was closed northbound from Drury and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
